Pre-qualification competition in Ardon
Retrofit of the cantonal road
Located at the foot of the Chamoson dejection cone, the village of Ardon nestles against the mountain, protected from swampy soil. The Simplon road runs along the village to avoid unstable land. From 1950, the development of the village was concretized to the south. From 1970 to today, the southern part of the T9 has developed massively. The construction area extends almost to the highway. The T9 now separates the historic village from the new part.
Our T9 development project proposes a revaluation of the space cleared by the redesign of the cantonal road. The project invests the space to offer the residents high quality common living spaces. The developments were carried out with the aim of calming T9 traffic and ensure better accessibility and safety for soft mobility. Strengthening the integration of trees and green areas, improves spatiality and contributes to stabilizing the temperature and enhances the existing situation.
